Ram-Zet’s fourth album to be released by Ascendance

We are proud to announce that Ram-Zet’s fourth studio album entitled “Neutralized” will be released through Ascendance Records this autumn!
Since 2000 Ram-Zet have built a strong and dedicated following. Led by Zet’s creative talents for guitar and vocals and the sultry voice of Sfinx, “Neutralized” is sure to please their fan-base as ever.
The album was recorded during 2008 and early 2009, seeing the band at the peak of their creativity. Ram-Zet employed a lengthy, busy writing schedule with the album being mixed this summer ready for a tentative release date of September. Illustrating the innovative, challenging and intense sound that fans have come to expect from Ram-Zet, “Neutralized” is the perfect next addition to their catalogue.

Witchbreed debut release date confirmed

Ascendance Records can announce that the debut album of Witchbreed, the female-fronted Portuguese metal band formed by bassist Ares (ex-MOONSPELL, DEEPSKIN) and guitarist Dikk (ex-DEEPSKIN), will be released on 29th June 2009.
Entitled “Heretic Rapture”, the album was produced, mixed and mastered by Waldemar Sorychta (LACUNA COIL, THE GATHERING, SAMAEL, TIAMAT, MOONSPELL).

Diablo Swing Orchestra sign to Ascendance

Ascendance Records is hugely proud to announce the signing of Diablo Swing Orchestra to a worldwide deal.
The unique genre-hopping Swedish sextet has already garnered an ever-growing army of fans on the strength of their self-released debut “The Butcher’s Ballroom” (later licensed to Candlelight Records in Europe and Sonic Cathedral in the US) and their European festival perfomances including MFVF and Summer Breeze.
The new album “Sing-Along Songs for the Damned & Delirious” is tentetively scheduled for a September release. As well as the normal release we will also be producing a strictly limited and numbered boxed version, available by direct mail order only. It will feature an exclusive DVD, a set of postcards, a pewter pendant and a sticker all in an embossed tin box. Full details will be made available closer to release.
The album will be recorded at In Flames studio in Gothenburg under the supervision of producer Roberto Laghi who, besides his work on the latest In Flames effort, has also worked with the likes of Sonic Syndicate, Mustasch and Hardcore Superstar. Recordings will commence on April 6th and will be finished on May 1st. Mixing will be done between the 1st and 12th of June. The band will be posting a studio report at the end of each week on their Myspace site so that you can follow how the recordings are progressing.
The band say that fans of “The Butcher’s Ballroom” will recognize the DSO sound but it has developed into something even more playful and at times far more aggressive than before.

A new Flowing Tears track is available for full streaming via our MySpace page! The song, entitled Colossal Shaped Despair, is from their new album “Thy Kingdom Gone” due to be released this Autumn.

Whyzdom issue album recording update

The band have given the following update:
“Hello Dear Friends!
Here are some good news :
- The recording sessions are going very well, exactly as planned… no delay for the moment. Drums and Bass are finished. We will begin the guitar and the lead vocals sessions at the end of August.
- As you probably already know, we will play at the Metale Female Voice Fest Warm Up Show, the 4th of October in Belgium, with great bands. Among them : Haggard and Valkyre. Be sure not to miss the event ! As far as I know, tickets are selling quickly ! (You should be able to find them here - search for : “warm up”)
- We have reached more than 50.000 visits of our Myspace. Thanks a lot ! We’ll work as hard as possible to prove that we deserve it. By the way, some fans had a funny question for me : “do you use web-robots to automatically visit your page and improve your stats ?”. The answer is : No ! We didn’t even know this was possible, lol . So, many many thanks to you all, really !!!
