Prepaid International Calling Cards – 10 Money Saving Tips!

When buying international pre-paid calling cards, make sure you understand all the key facts and "sometimes hidden" costs, before you buy. Reading this article will help you understand all that's required to buy a cheap and reliable prepaid phone cards with confidence.

International calling cards – The Key facts and figures:

  1. Rate per minute – The most important figure to consider when buying prepaid phone cards. This is calculated by the originating country and the call destination country.
  2. Minute rounding – Sometimes referred to as "billing increment". This denotes the unit a call will be rounded to per call. For example, a calling card with 3 minute rounding will bill you in 3 minute increments, regardless of call duration. A call lasting between 0 and 3 minutes will cost you 3 minutes, a call between 3 and 6 minutes will be billed as 6 minutes and so on.
  3. Connection fees – Every time a connection is made, the stated connection fee will be charged against your international calling card. A connection fee is usually charged at the point the call recipient answers your call. This applies to answering machines, wrong numbers or in some cases if the recipients phone rings more than ten times.
  4. Communications fees – Communication fees apply to each call made with your international calling card. Not all cards charge this fee; so shop around. The stated communication fee, if applied, will be deducted automatically from your call card balance. For example, a 20 minute call made using a card with a 10% communication fee will be billed as 22 minutes (20 minutes + 10% of 20 minutes).
  5. Maintenance fees – Maintenance fees are charged by the international calling card provider to maintain call quality. Maintenance fees will be deducted from your cards balance at the stated interval (weekly, monthly, etc.), although not all calling card providers apply this fee.
  6. Access number – Access number (s) will be provided when you buy international call cards. This is the number you call to access your calling card before you make your international calls. This access number may be a local number or toll-free number within the country you are in.
  7. Denominations – The denomination is the value of the phone card. Most cards come in denominations of 10 ($ 10 credit, $ 20 credit, $ 30 credit for example). This value, divided by the rate per minute, works out the maximum number of minutes talk time offered by this card.
  8. Payphone Surcharge – A payphone surcharge will be deducted from your calling card balance every time you connect to a call using a payphone.
  9. Recharge / Auto-Recharge – A phone card is rechargeable if more value can be added to it after the initial value has been used. If you buy your international call card online, you may have an automatic recharge option. This is an optional service and can typically be implemented though your account for free. You can configure your account to automatically add more minutes to your international calling card when your balance reaches a certain level. For example, you can set your account to automatically add $ 30 credit to your card when your remaining balance reaches $ 5.
  10. Expiration – Most calling cards have an expiration date and any call credit left on them will not be refunded.

Leon Trotsky

Leon Trotsky came into this world as Lev Davidovich Bronstein in Yanovka, Ukraine – within the Russian Empire – on November seven, 1879. The parents of his, David and Anna Bronstein, had been prosperous Jewish farmers. When he was eight years of age, Trotksy went to classes in Odessa, then moved in 1896 to Nikolayev, Ukraine, for the final year of his in school. While there, he became fascinated with Marxism.

In 1897, Trotsky really helped found the South Russian Workers’ Union. He was arrested within a year and spent 2 years in jail before being trialed, and convicted and sent to Siberia for a four year sentence. While in imprisonment, he met and married Alexandra Lvovna, a female revolutionary who had been sentenced to Siberia. While there, two daughters were born.

In 1902, after serving just 2 years of the sentence of his, Leon Trotsky escaped exile, leaving his daughters and wife. On forged newspapers, he altered the name of his to Leon Trotsky, a moniker he will use the rest of the his life. He was able to make the way of his to London, England, wherever he joined the Socialist Democratic Party and met Vladimir Lenin. In 1903, the second wife of his, Natalia Ivanovna was married by Leon Trotsky. 2 sons were had by the couple.

During the initial years of the Social Democratic Party, there have been usually conflicts among the party ‘s leadership over its strategy and form. Vladimir Lenin argued for a small get-together of professional revolutionaries who’d lead a big contingent of non party supporters. Julius Martov advocated for a bigger, much more democratic business of supporters. Leon Trotsky attempted to reconcile the 2 factions, resulting in several clashes with equally groups’ leaders. A lot of the Social Democrats, like the driven Joseph Stalin, sided with Lenin. Trotsky’s neutrality was viewed as disloyal.

On January twenty two, 1905, unarmed demonstrators marching against the Russian Tsar were murdered by the Imperial Guard. When word reached Leon Trotsky, he returned to Russia to allow for the uprisings. By the conclusion of 1905, he’d turned into a leader of the motion. In December, the rebellion was crushed, and also Trotsky was arrested and once again sent to Siberia. At the trial of his, he put on a spirited defense and improved his reputation among the party ‘s best. In January 1907, Trotsky escaped imprisonment and then traveled to Europe, wherever he spent ten years in exile in several cities, like Vienna, Zurich, New York and Paris, spending a lot of the precious time writing for Russian groundbreaking journals, like Pravda, and advocating an anti war policy.

After the overthrow of Russian Tsar Nicholas II, in February 1917, Trotsky set out for Russian from New York. Nevertheless, Okhrana (the Tsar’s secret police) persuaded British authorities to detain him at Halifax, Canada. He was kept there for a month, prior to the Russian provisional government demanded the release of his. After he arrived in Russian federation in May 1917, he easily tackled several of the issues forming in post revolutionary Russia. He disapproved of the provisional government since he sensed it had been ineffectual. The brand new prime minister, Alexander Kerensky, watched Trotsky as a significant threat and then had him arrested, but released shortly after. He was elected chairman of the Petrograd Soviet, a powerful hold of dissent against the provisional government.

In November 1917, the provisional federal government was overthrown and the Soviet Council of Individuals Commissars was created, with Vladimir Lenin elected chairman. Leon Trotsky’s very first job in the brand new federal government was serving as commissar for international affairs and generating peace with the Germans. Talks started in January 1918, as well as Germany had a large list of demands for reparations and territory. Trotsky needed to wait out the German authorities, in hopes it will be defeated by the Allies or perhaps suffer internal insurrection. Nevertheless, Lenin sensed that peace with Germany had to be made so they could focus on creating a communist government in Russian federation. Trotsky disagreed as well as resigned from this article.

After the Bolsheviks took command of the Soviet federal government, Lenin was in charge of the development of the Red Army and then appointed Leon Trotsky its leader. The army’s very first orders had been to counterbalance the White Army (Socialist revolutionaries opposed to Bolshevik control) during the Russian Civil War. Trotsky proved to be an excellent military leader, as he led the army of three million to victory. The process was difficult, as Trotsky aimed a war effort which was on sixteen various fronts. Additionally, it did not help that a number of members of the Soviet leadership, like Lenin, became engaged in military approach, redirecting the Red Army’s endeavors and countermanding several of Trotsky’s orders. In late 1920, the Bolsheviks finally won the Civil War, ensuring Bolshevik influence of the Soviet authorities. After the White Army surrendered, Trotsky was elected a fellow member of the Communist Party core committee. He was certainly placed as the Soviet Union’s number two male, after Lenin.

Throughout the winter season of 1920/21, as the Soviet federal government moved from war to peace time operations, an increasingly acrimonious debate increased over the job of trade unions. Believing that the employees needs absolutely nothing to fear from the government, Leon Trotsky advocated the state control over the industry unions. He reasoned this would supply officials a tighter command over labor and facilitate a much better integration between federal government and the proletariat. Trotsky was criticized by Lenin, accusing him of harassing the unions as well as leaving the support of his for the proletariat. A breach between the 2 developed along with other officials, like Joseph Stalin, took advantage, siding with Lenin to gain favor. As Trotsky turned in and refused to alter the position of his, the conflict increased and Lenin feared the conflict would splinter the bash. At a meeting at the Tenth Party Congress in March 1921, the problem found a head when some of Trotsky’s supporters have been supplanted by Lenin’s lieutenants. Trotsky finally dropped the opposition of his and, to show the allegiance of his to Lenin, bought the suppression of the Kronstadt Rebellion (an uprising of sailors plus longshoremen protesting heavy handed Bolshevik tactics). However the harm was done, and also Trotsky had lost a lot of the political influence over the dispute.

By 1922, the pressures of injuries and revolution from an earlier assassination attempt had brought the toll of theirs on Vladimir Lenin. In May, he experienced his first stroke questions arose over who’d succeed him. Leon Trotsky had a stellar record like a military leader and administrator and looked the obvious option of all the ranking and file membership of the Communist Party. But he’d offended a lot of in the Politburo (the Communist Party ‘s executive committee). In addition to a number of Politburo people, led by Joseph Stalin, joined forces to oppose him. The prior month, Lenin had appointed Stalin on the brand-new job of Central Committee General Secretary. Though not really a considerable post at the moment, it provided Stalin influence over just about all party member appointments. He quickly consolidated the power of his and began lining up friends against Trotsky.

Between 1922 as well as 1924, Vladimir Lenin attempted to fight several of Stalin’s moves and help Trotsky on many occasions. Nevertheless, a third stroke virtually silenced Lenin and Stalin was facing no resistance to drive Trotsky out. Lenin died on January twenty one, 1924, and also Trotsky was isolated and alone, outmaneuvered by Stalin. From that time on, Trotsky was continuously pushed from very important functions on Soviet federal government as well as, ultimately, pushed from the nation.

Between 1925 as well as 1928, Trotsky was slowly pushed from influence and power by Stalin and the allies of his, who discredited Trotsky’s function in the Russian Revolution and the military record of his. In October 1927, Trotsky was expelled from the Central Committee and also exiled the next January on the really remote Alma Ata, located in present day Kazakhstan. Evidently, that wasn’t long enough for Stalin, therefore in February, 1929, Trotsky was banished totally from the Soviet Union. Over the next 7 years, he was living in Turkey, Norway and France, before arriving in Mexico City.

Trotsky carried on to create and criticize Joseph Stalin as well as the Soviet government. During the 1930s, political purges were conducted by Stalin who called Trotsky, in absentia, a major enemy and conspirator. In August 1936, sixteen of Trotsky’s allies have been charged with helping Trotsky in treason. All sixteen have been found guilty and executed. Stalin and then set out to assassinate Trotsky. In 1937, Trotsky relocated to Mexico, eventually settling in Mexico City, wherever he continued to criticize Soviet leadership.

Leon Trotsky’s overall health was failing and he just knew he was a marked male. In February, a testament expressing the final thoughts of his for posterity were written by him and forcibly denied Stalin’s accusations. On August twenty, 1940, Trotsky was sitting at the desk of his study in his house in Mexico City. Ramon Mercader, an undercover agent of the Soviet Union’s secret police, attacked Trotsky and have a mountaineering ice ax, puncturing the skull of his. He died one day later on, at the age of sixty, in the hospital.

For many years, Leon Trotsky was discredited inside the Soviet Union, the outcome of Stalin’s hatred and totalitarian control. Nevertheless, ten many years after the collapse of the Soviet federal government, in 2001, Trotsky’s status was formally “rehabilitated” by the Russian government. The legacy of his of being most outstanding intellect of the Communist Revolution along with the reputation of his as a tireless worker, rousing public speaker as well as decisive administrator was restored. Some historians think if he’d not subordinated himself to Lenin during the Bolshevik Revolution, the story of the Soviet Union may have been really different. Nevertheless, Trotsky had permitted his arrogance and intelligence to antagonize those less in a position than himself, and also in the long run, alienated a lot of around him, allowing deceitful males as Stalin to profit.

Got Empathy?

Empathy has long been recognized as an essential element to providing proper service to our clients. To make sure we are on the same page, let's start with this basic definition of empathy: the ability to share and understand the feelings of another.

A young and talented psychotherapist recently asked me about the role of empathy in AAIT. In watching me work, she noticed that I appeared to stay " pretty neutral ." I think there's a lot of truth in that observation. My experience and expression of empathy seems to have shifted through my years of practice. In my opinion, the value of the therapeutic neutral empathy can not be overstated.

There's an aspect to empathy and compassion that feels sticky to both the practitioner and the client. It's not really neutral. This kind of empathy can feed into the dynamic play of the Karpman Drama Triangle with therapist settling comfortably into Rescuer, the client surrendering to Victim, while the presenting problem and associated players becoming the Persecutor.

Or, if the client is a sensitive, our sticky empathy can reverberate with them emotionally. They may then shift into Rescuer to take care of us emotionally, shutting down their own emotional experience or simply hitting emotional overwhelm. Sticky empathy will also cloud your vision of our right right step. Learning to recognize this kind of empathy in ourselves is imminently valuable.

Empathy does not always look like soft eyes and a quiet voice. Sometimes empathy looks like quiet confidence and a firm voice. Empathy has as many faces as a patient and steady parent. Of greater importance than what empathy looks like is our capacity to access and use it.

Empathetic capacity can be determined by the ease, fluidity, and depth with which we can absorb the point of view of another. One of the fundamental aspects of AAIT is our ability to accumulate and help our clients absorb multiple points of view (POV). The degree to which we can enter another's POV can illuminate the limits of our empathy. The more we intentally enter the POV of another, the more agility we have with empathy. This intentional approach to empathy also seems to contribute self-compassion.

With AAIT, we use the four elements of human experience in a variety of creative ways to flesh out an experience; thoughts, images, emotions, and sensations (TIES). These elements bind us to the energetic charge associated with our experiences. While our attention to and acceptance of these elements can free us from their charge. Let's play with this a bit as it relates to assuming the POV of another.

Consider a client, you can choose one for what you feel deeply, this might help you feel the sticky empathy. Bring to mind the most recent problem they presented. Notice what you think and imagine as you call this to mind. Notice your emotional response and body sensations.

Now shift your POV. You could even place two fingers in the center of your chest, silently saying to yourself, "I'm no longer (YOUR NAME), I'm (CLIENT's NAME)."

Feel yourself as that client in the situation they described. What do you imagine they are thinking? What is the image picture? What is the emotion (can you feel it)? What body sensations do you notice? How completely can you sense what it's like to be them in this situation? Notice the places you want to turn away from or not experience. Notice what you resist. Investigate your experience AS them. Take a couple of breaths, just noticing. How does this informing inform your understanding?

With AAIT, the next step is to engage in a method to integrate whatever came up from the client's POV. Neutralizing this charged energy typically results in spacious open awareness, infused with understanding. This liberates us to walk that balance between empathizing and indulging. Freed up, we are no longer vulnerable to sacrificing change for empathy or empathy for change. The empathy no longer feels sticky, but clear, like a mountain stream.

What do you think the costs of sticky empathy are? How do you recognize it?

What You Should Know About Water Softeners

If you have noticed that your shower stall, drains or other areas where water use is common, never seems to look clean due to staining around the drain, or perhaps you have noticed that shampoo or soap never seems to lather, then chances are you live in an area where hard water is common. If so, then don’t panic. Hard water is perfectly safe to ingest; however, it can taint the flavor of foods or have an off-putting smell due to the higher quantities of calcium, magnesium carbonate and manganese. Furthermore, hard water often makes it much harder to get dishes, clothing and one’s body truly clean.

But hard water does not have to affect everything in your home, there is a simple solution – installing a water softening system. There are several water softeners available on the market today, so it is certain that you can find one that works for your home and budget. As you look for the perfect water softening system for your home, there are a variety of things to keep in mind.

1. Hard water build-up affects more than you realize. Beyond things such as laundry or food flavor, hard water also damages the pipes and leads to damaging build up.

2. Hard water can affect your appliances. Hard water can create build up in appliances like dishwashers and washing machines, while also making the detergent less effective.

3. Determine just how hard the water is. Talk to a local water testing company and schedule a test. Or, you can purchase a test kit at most home supply stores. There are several types of kits available, so take the time to find one that you can use with ease.

4. How large is your home? The size of your home, as well as the number of people living in your home, determines what type and capacity of water softening unit you need for your home. A water softener works by exchanging salt in the form of dissolved tablets in place of calcium and other minerals in the water. The water softener needs to periodically recharge itself every 3 days, so the system you chose needs to be able to continue to work during the recharge cycle. By choosing a dual water softening system, you can ensure a steady supply of soft water.

5. Dual tank systems. This design allows hard water to flow in and soft water to move out. The second tank holds the salt water softening material and the recharges the water particles. This ensures that your water quality is always at the level you want it.

Choosing to convert your home from a hard water scenario to a soft water system is a great decision that will affect everything water-based in your home. Talk to a local plumber or water softener system provider today.

Discover the Advantages and Disadvantages of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) vs Pay Per Click

You’ve just launched your new website (or launched the redesign) and now you’re sitting back waiting for the orders to roll in. But wait a minute, something’s wrong… there don’t seem to be any. It’s as if your site doesn’t exist.

Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but unless you have either a well publicised site or many websites linking to yours, you’re going to have to rely on the search engines. And if your site doesn’t rank in the first three result pages, it’s more than likely you won’t be found at all.

So… you know what’s coming next; that’s right, you need a good dose of search engine marketing (SEM) to make sure your site gets listed on the search engines’ results pages. Do this and the traffic to your website will soon follow.

“Right”, I hear you say. “Let’s do some search engine marketing then…”

Well that’s certainly a good start! But first you have to work out your approach to maximise your returns. Let’s call this your search engine marketing strategy. In order to create an effective strategy you need to understand a bit more about how search engine marketing works. Currently, we can roughly-speaking separate search engine marketing into two different approaches:

  1. Organic: including search engine optimisation, links from other websites and offline marketing.
  2. Paid: including pay per click, paid submission and online advertising (banner ads).

So to help you further, I’ve listed below the advantages and disadvantages to each approach to SEM and outlined my recommendations.

Organic: Advantages

  1. The majority of the work behind search engine optimisation (SEO) is a one-off activity, and so is usually charged out at a set upfront fee.
  2. The changes made to your website will probably still be relevant and driving traffic to your site a year from now.
  3. Credibility: most people (research indicates between 60 and 80 percent) will click on the organic results rather than the sponsored (paid) results.
  4. If you rank well in one of the major search engines (Google/Yahoo/MSN), you will most likely show up in the majority of the search engines worldwide.

Organic: Disadvantages

  1. Changes must be made to your website’s code. Normally the changes are invisible to visitors. However, if you have invested heavily in a search engine-unfriendly site, the process can be time-consuming and costly; and occasionally significant changes may need to be made to your site’s copy, navigation or design. Of course ultimately, you’ll see returns if you commit to the necessary changes.
  2. Results (rankings and traffic) start slowly. You will normally see results within 3-4 months.
  3. There can be no guarantee. As the search engines themselves have the final say, you can’t predict how many rankings you’ll get for a particular search term or engine; nor can you predict how much traffic you’ll get to your site.

Paid: Advantages

  1. Pay per click (PPC) advertising programs are fast to implement. It usually takes two to three weeks to set up and run. Google AdWords are up-and-running as soon as you start the campaign, and Overture listings are live within 3-5 business days (after an editor reviews them).
  2. Nothing has to change on your web site, although I would recommend you create targeted landing pages for each advertisement as they’ve been proven to increase conversions (but that’s another subject for another time!).
  3. There is no limit to the number of terms or keyword phases you can bid on.
  4. PPC is good if you intend to run promotions through your site, as you can turn the PPC campaign on and off whenever you choose.
  5. You can dictate where the listing appears on the result’s page (within the sponsors’ ads area) and determine what the ad says.
  6. It’s very easy to test all your different search terms and offers etc, and to measure the results.

Paid: Disadvantages

  1. Clicks can be expensive. Bidding wars often erupt.
  2. You must keep paying for the clicks every month. If your budget is ever cut, your listings will disappear, along with your search engine traffic.
  3. Most people (research indicates between 60 and 80 percent) will click on the organic results rather than the sponsored (paid) results.
  4. It requires a time investment to monitor and adjust listings on a constant basis, or budget to outsource this activity.
  5. Listings are subject to editorial acceptance. With SEO, you can state whatever you like on your website (which is where the search engines pull your page title and description). But with PPC, editors insist that all listings be factual and that you not compare your company with others. This means that even if you are the “largest” provider, you can’t state that.

Now you know a bit about the advantages and disadvantages of both organic and paid search engine marketing, you must decide how to approach your online marketing campaign.

Organic marketing is probably best if:

  1. You want to spend some time on search engine marketing upfront and have it pay off in the future, on conceivably every search engine there is around the world.
  2. You have a budget to do some work now, and want to save money later on.
  3. Your site is fairly simple, without a lot of complicated bells and whistles.
  4. You can afford to wait a month or two for results.
  5. You don’t want to have to manage or maintain anything on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Paid advertising may be for you if:

  1. You want to get up-and-running quickly.
  2. You have a promotion where you want to be able to turn a PPC campaign on and off.
  3. You want to be able to test search terms, products or offers and quickly see results.
  4. Your site is search engine-unfriendly and you don’t want to invest in changing it.
  5. You’re confident you’ll have the budget to spend for the long haul, and you have time to maintain positions on a regular basis.

Of course many companies and businesses tackle both organic and paid SEM at the same time, and this is what I would typically recommend to maximally attract qualified traffic to a website.

If you are currently designing your site, or redesigning an existing one, make sure your developer knows how to create search engine optimised code or is working closely with a SEO consultant. Getting it right from the beginning will save you time and money in the long run. And it needn’t cost a fortune either if you tackle this upfront

If you have an existing site you wish to optimise, you may have a hard decision to make if your current site is not search engine friendly. If your site has been built using extensive use of frames or dynamic pages (your URL may look like: http://www.yoursite.com/page.asp?id=8), the cost to rectify these problems can be discouraging. If this is the case, now may be the time to seriously consider redesigning your site earlier than you’d planned.

Either way, the use of a small paid (pay per click) advertising campaign before optimisation can be a great way to nail down those essential keywords to use throughout your site’s copy by recording which keywords customers respond to the most in your campaign.

States With No Income Taxes & States With Low Property Taxes

Real Estate Investing & Property Tax Rates

In the United States, property tax is assessed by local government at the municipal or county level. The property tax assessment is based on two values–the value of the land, and the value of the building. Since property tax is calculated at a local-level–and since changes occur frequently–it’s tricky to determine the exact spots where property tax is the lowest. However, the following information should help you locate areas with high appreciation AND low property taxes.

Which States Have the Lowest Property Tax Rates?

County tax rates are often averaged into a single figure, and this number is used when comparing property taxes between states. Surprisingly, Wyoming has the lowest property tax rates. Unfortunately, property values in Wyoming tend to be pretty depressed, due to low population influx and a lack of jobs. Also, Wyoming does not rank highly when it comes to appreciation rates for residential and commercial real estate. Just because an area has low property taxes does not mean it will be the best area to invest in (or relocate to).

What to Look For When Investing

Look for an area that has a consistent rate of real estate appreciation, combined with fairly low property taxes. Often, local property tax rates are low because real estate appreciation in the area is low–so you need to be careful. Cities located next to universities and areas where businesses are relocating are usually excellent spots to buy real estate. Paying attention to population growth can help you spot real estate trends and make wiser investments.

Medium-Sized Cities With the Lowest Property Tax Rates

According to data gathered by the Office of the CFO in Washington, D.C., the following cities have the lowest property tax rates in 2006, based on an annual income of $75,000. Assuming you earn $75,000 annually, here are the property tax amounts you would pay in each city…

Birmingham AL — $988

Cheyenne WY — $1,108

Phoenix AZ — $1,248

Wichita KS — $1,309

Denver CO — $1,362

Charleston WV — $1,395

Oklahoma City OK — $1,538

The Connection Between State Income Taxes & Property Tax Rates

States with no income tax (see list below) usually have high property tax rates in their respective counties (The state needs to get its revenue from somewhere!). However, the trade-off is that you will have zero taxes on all earned income. This can be a huge advantage. Instead of paying the state 7 to 15 percent (or more) of your income, you can keep your hard-earned money, and invest it back into real estate or other investments. There are currently nine states that do not tax income at the state level.

States With No Income Tax

Alaska

Florida

Nevada

South Dakota

Texas

Washington

Wyoming

New Hampshire*

Tennessee*

*New Hampshire and Tennessee do not tax earned income, but they DO tax capital gains (dividend and interest income).

How To Find the Best of Both Worlds: Low Property Tax & No State Income Tax

If you’re looking for the best of both worlds (low property tax and no state income tax), you may want to consider the following cities:

Sioux Falls, SD

Houston, Texas

Jacksonville, Florida

Memphis, TN

Cheyenne, WY

Las Vegas, Nevada

You can also explore less well-known cities in the nine “no-income-tax” states. Smaller towns and cities generally offer “quality of life” advantages, and higher-than-average price appreciation and growth.

Conclusion

Now you know which states don’t tax income, and which areas have the lowest property tax rates. Armed with this knowledge, you can focus on finding the best spot for your next home or real estate investment.

Basic SEO Keyword Placement to Make Money Online

If you have been following my Online Marketing with SEO work, and have had your share of late nights trying to understand SEO then you will know that Online Marketing and SEO is not as easy as is sometimes suggested. But you will also know if you started without Keyword Placement, that you have wasted valuable months and even years. Not to mention all the costs like Blog and Email List Hosting, and it’s all because of simple misdirection an incorrect Keyword Placement.

Keyword Placement is the one single most important factor which determines your rate of growth, next to compelling content. Absolutely everything you do online from Blog SEO, Blog Posts, Comments, Forum Discussions, Publishing, Solo Ads and the rest of the never ending methods of attracting visitors is based on Keyword Placement. And as I have recently discovered, the correct Keyword Placement can have your Blog, Video, Articles and E-Books show up on the First Search Result Page in a matter of Days not Months or Years.

One need to always consider and accept the fact that targeting the correct audience will require preparation and proper planning. But also that targeting an interested audience is the only way to make money online regardless of your method, be it Blogging, Affiliate Marketing or otherwise.

Another common SEO mistake is submitting a Site Map to Google, because if you do not then Google cannot find its way to your Blog. A Site Map reveals the Keywords and Keyword Phrases which describes your work best so it can be categorized accordingly. Submitting a Site Map is easily done by installing a Plugin like “All in One SEO” or “Google XML Sitemaps“, but you also need to check in the “Google Search Console” that the Sitemap is indeed accepted and understood.

I recently had an “HTTP 404 Error” on my Blog Sitemap, which kind of freaked me out just a little because I was under the impressions everything was completed successfully. And after some intensive research I found that this appear to be quite a common problem, but easily fixable.

Now a Sitemap URL normally end with “/sitemap.xml“, but sometimes an extra (Dot/Full Stop) is added at the end from inside the Google XML Sitemaps Plugin and may be one of the reasons for the “HTTP 404 Error“. Luckily this is easily rectified by simply deleting the old Sitemap from the Google Search Console and simply copy/paste the Sitemap URL from the Plugin, only discarding that last full stop.

But let’s get back to Keyword Placement, just thought I’d better share some latest findings that made a huge difference to my own Sites and Videos Ranking Capability. The first few lines of your content is also your most profitable lines to work with, because that is how your Content get Categorized by All Major Search Engines like Google and Bing. Which is why the Site Title (H1 Header) and Post Title (H2 Header) with Widget Titles (H3 Headers) and the first 160 Characters of your Content Body is the only way you will make money online with your Blog.

The challenge however is to use those Search Phrases as part of Description Context and not just cram a bunch of Search Phrases in there that makes no sense. Within a Description the Search Phrase targeted should appear at least 2 – 3 times, and can prove a lot more challenging when using Search Phrases in Context.

For best results with Keyword Placement it’s always advised to try and create a fusion between your site Long Tail and Short Tail Keywords, and then include these Search Phrases in both Title and First 160 Characters because that is normally recognized as your Content Description.

That is the Description you may also see in the Meta Description of sites on a Search Result Page in Any Major Search Engine. You have the Site Title normally at the top in Blue, then the URL right beneath it in Green with the Description Text in Black. You may also notice some Keywords in Bold within the Meta Description, which will be the Keywords the Site currently Ranks for.

Exactly which Keywords and Search Phrases to use will be different to each person depending on the Niche you choose to make money online with. It is always better to target Keywords and Search Phrases with a High Search Volume and a Low to Medium Competition, but even then it may take a while to actually appear in Google Search Results.

Search Engine Optimization is quite basic and mostly Logic once you get the hang of it, but it is the less travelled path for a reason. While actual Ranking may increase quite rapidly with correct Keyword Placement, it may involve weeks and even months of proper research to obtain those relevant Keywords and Search Phrases.

You may even end up changing the Blog and Post Title a few times in the Meta Description, but when you do be sure that you also check on the Sitemap in the Google Search Console. Remember that when you change Keywords and Search Phrases the entire Sitemap also changes, and if you do not update that it will be like giving Google the Wrong directions to your site.

Proper Search Engine Optimization really is as simple as merely telling All Major Search Engines exactly what your Blog, Video, Article or any Content is about. The basics always come down to Title, Description and how many times the Search Phrase appear.

Keyword and Search Phrase Placement is your Direction, and it’s So Much More Important than Speed. Making Money Online is a Numbers Game of how many hours, days, weeks, months and even Years you’re prepared to keep going.

Post Title Tip – Try avoiding words like “and” or “at” in a Post Title because this will sometimes show up as a Special Character (&@$%) which is not considered SEO Friendly and will decrease your Blog SEO Score.

This also goes for Video, Article and E-Book titles because at some point in time those Titles are going to show up in Google Search Results. Which is why it is so important to use the Search Phrases in Context because that is the Description that a Visitor will read.

This is also part of the “First Impression”, what does your potential buyer see when they look at the Meta Description on the Google Search Result Page? Do they see a desperate attempt at a sale, or an actual professional suggestion to relevant, unique and compelling content?

The only “Secret” to actually Making Money Online is to keep going until you succeed, not until you grow tired of trying.

Stop Being Content With So Little And Reach For Something Bigger Than What You Have

You’re Not Meant To Play Small

There comes a point in a person’s life when their childhood dreams evaporate into a void, overtaken by the demands of everyday life.

If this describes you, there’s a tendency to play small instead of reaching for something more.

I experienced this early in my career where my problems consumed me to the extent it became part of my identity. You feel like a boxer pushed onto the ropes and your only form of defence is to retreat until you find the motivation to recover. Many successful people have been in this situation including J. K. Rowling, so it is nothing to be ashamed of.

Performance psychologist Stan Beecham writes in Elite Minds: Creating the Competitive Advantage: “Beliefs control biology, biology controls behaviour, and behaviour determines success.”

On some level, you know you’re not meant to play small. Part of you recognises your potential, but something stops you from achieving it. People struggle for years before finally realising the pain and disappointment is not worth it, at which point they give up. However, I encourage you not to not act impulsively and consider whether giving up is your only choice. Often, there are other options that may involve pivoting in a different direction to achieve your goals.

Research experiments on animals have observed that when their food sources are restricted, they stop scouring for food and give up. Their fatalist brain believes food is in short supply and they accept this outcome. We all do this and give up when pushed to our limits. Though, we develop our greatest personal growth if we stay the distance.

“Feel your urges, and push them back at least twice before giving in,” writes Peter Hollins in The Science of Breaking Out of Your Comfort Zone: How to Live Fearlessly, Seize Opportunity, and Make Each Day Memorable.

You are only as strong as the level of your personal growth. To equate this in terms of a fitness metaphor, you are only capable of lifting weights proportional to the physical training you have undergone. If you train often, chances are you are you will lift heavier owing to your conditioning and dedicated training.

Your mental and emotional resiliency functions in the same respect, in so far as life’s challenges help you to develop resiliency.

Those Who Are Resilient Stay In The Game Longer

Challenges and setbacks are not meant to defeat you, but promote you. However, I realise after many years of defeats, it can crush your spirit and it is easier to give up than risk further setbacks and disappointments.

To be honest, I don’t have the answers. I can’t tell you what the right course of action is; only you will know. However, it’s important not to be discouraged by failure when pursuing a goal or a dream, since failure itself means different things to different people.

“Growth comes at the point of resistance; we learn by pushing ourselves to the outer reaches of our abilities,” explains authors Brad Stulberg and Steve Magness in Peak Performance: Elevate Your Game, Avoid Burnout, and Thrive with the New Science of Success.

To a person with a fixed mindset failure is a blow to their self-esteem, yet to a person with a growth mindset, it’s an opportunity to improve and find new ways to overcome their obstacles. Same failure, yet different responses.

Who is right and who is wrong?

Neither.

Each person has a different mindset that decides their outcome. Those who are resilient stay in the game longer and draw on their inner means to succeed.

I’ve coached clients who gave up after many years toiling away at their respective goal or dream. It was at that point their biggest breakthrough came. Perhaps all those years of perseverance finally paid off. It was the 19th Century’s minister Henry Ward Beecher who once said: “One’s best success comes after their greatest disappointments.”

No one knows what the future holds, so your only guide is whether you can endure repeated defeats and disappointments and still pursue your dream.

Consider the advice from the American academic and psychologist Angela Duckworth who writes in Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance: “Many of us, it seems, quit what we start far too early and far too often. Even more than the effort a gritty person puts in on a single day, what matters is that they wake up the next day, and the next, ready to get on that treadmill and keep going.”

I know one thing for certain: don’t settle for less than what you’re capable of, but strive for something bigger.

Some of you reading this might identify with this message because it resonates with you on a deeper level. For others, at the end of their tether the message might be nothing more than a trivial pep talk.

What I wish to convey irrespective of where you are in your journey is: NEVER settle for less. If you settle for less, you will receive less than you deserve and convince yourself you are justified to receive it.

Develop A Powerful Vision Of What You Want

I recall a passage my father often used growing up: “Don’t tell me your problems unless you’ve spent weeks trying to solve them yourself.” That advice has echoed in my mind for decades and became my motivator. Don’t leave it to others or outside circumstances to motivate you because you will be let down every time. It must come from within you.

Gnaw away at your problems until you solve them or find a solution. Problems are not stop signs, they are advising you that more work is required to overcome them. Most times, problems help you gain a skill or develop the resources to succeed later.

“The best form of confidence is the confidence that comes from achievement,” states author Larry Weidel in Serial Winner: 5 Actions to Create Your Cycle of Success.

So embrace your challenges and develop the grit to push past them instead of retreat in resignation.

Where are you settling in your life right now?

Could you be you playing for bigger stakes than you are?

Are you willing to play bigger even if it means repeated failures and setbacks?

You should ask yourself these questions to decide whether you’re willing to put yourself on the line or settle for less. And that’s fine if you’re content to receive less, as long as you’re not regretful later.

If you have not achieved the success you deserve and are considering giving up, will you regret it in a few years or decades from now?

Only you can answer that, but you should carve out time to discover your motivation for pursuing your goals.

It’s a fact, if you don’t know what you want you’ll get what life hands you and it may not be in your best interest, affirms author Larry Weidel: “Winners know that if you don’t figure out what you want, you’ll get whatever life hands you.”

The key is to develop a powerful vision of what you want and hold that image in your mind. Nurture it daily and give it life by taking purposeful action towards it.

Vision + desire + dedication + patience + daily action leads to astonishing success. Are you willing to commit to this way of life or jump ship at the first sign of failure?

I’m amused when I read questions written by millennials on Quora who ask how they can become rich and famous or the next Elon Musk. Success is a fickle and long game with highs and lows. Similarly, there are no assurances even if you’re an overnight sensation, to sustain it for long, particularly if you don’t have the mental and emotional means to endure it.

Brendon Burchard states in High Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way: “Be more intentional about who you want to become. Have vision beyond your current circumstances. Imagine your best future self, and start acting like that person today.”

This means you must rely on the one true constant in your favour: your personal development. The more you grow, the more you gain in terms of financial resources, status, success – simple. If you leave it to outside conditions to dictate your circumstances, you are rolling the dice on your future.

So become intentional on what you want out of life.

Commit to it.

Nurture your dreams.

Focus on your development and if you want to give up, know what’s involved before you take the plunge.

Because I assure you, someone out there right now is working harder than you, reading more books, sleeping less and sacrificing all they have to realise their dreams and it may contest with yours.

Don’t leave your dreams to chance.
